Foreign retail investor


Foreign Individual Investor should be advised to complete the following 3 requirements prior invest securities in Viet Nam:

  • Apply 01 Securities Trading Code (STC) in Viet Nam. This STC is an unique number granted to each Investor.  
  • Open a securities account at Securities company.
  • Open a Foreign Indirect Investment (FII) at the commercial bank which has got foreign exchage license.

Kindly refer to the below for further details:

Required documents to open FII (Foreign Indirect Investment) account at BIDV

a. Investor who presents in Vietnam

  • Carry your validity passport to BIDV branch and open FII account directly.
  • Visit BIDV branch which is nearest your area to fulfill account opening.   
  • HCM: BIDV - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Branch

Address: Building No. 56 (after) - 64 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

  • HN: BIDV - Ha Thanh Branch

Address: 74 Tho Nhuom Street, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi

  • Inform BIDV staff on the purpose of opening FII account to trade securities at HSC. 

b. Investor who does not present in Vietnam

Contact HSC for further guidance to fulfill documents via email support@hsc.com.vn or telephone number: 1900 633 996 

Kindly courier the documents form Overseas to HSC. The required documents as details: 

HSC will check and respond right after receving all required documents
