1. HSC wins “Best Brokerage House in Vietnam” award in “The Asset Triple A Country Awards 2013” for the second time

On 05 November, HSC was awarded “Best Brokerage House in Vietnam” in The Asset Triple A Country Awards 2013 by The Asset magazine. This award competition was organized annually to recognize and honor best financial institutions in Southeast Asia. This is the 2nd year in a row The Asset included Best Brokerage House to the list of accolades and HSC excelled to win over the 2 years. More information of this award is available on TheAsset.com.

“The Asset Triple A Country Awards” is a preeminent recognition for excellent financial institutions in banking, financial and capital markets. This result proves that investors and professionals in the industry recognize the capabilities of HSC in investment advisory and brokerage in Vietnam and the world market. This also shows the high creditability of customers, foreign partners for HSC’s products and services. HSC continuously hones its core competencies to enable the development of new and improved financial services to meet clients’ growing needs more professionally. 

In addition to affirm its top position in brokerage, HSC is still promoting other core services to create mutual synergy, especially in developing corporate finance advisory in the recent time.

2. HSC successfully completed an M&A deal with total value of over 20 mil USD: EuviPharm sells 65% stake to Valeant Pharmaceutical International, Inc based in Canada.

The deal between Euvipharm – one of the top 100 performing companies in Vietnam, and Valeant Pharmaceutical International – 10th best multinational pharmaceutical company in the world is a tough one. HSC was active as the lead advisor for Euvipharm during the price assessment and dealing negotiations between the two sides.

This successful deal has again proven HSC’s capabilities and service quality in Corporate Finance Advisory. HSC is focusing on building “knowledge base” in important fields of M&A activities in Vietnam together with our practical experience to further develop M&A advisory service in the near future.      

Besides other completed deals in pharmaceutical sphere between Domesco and CFR in 2012, and Euvipharm and Valeant in 2013, HSC continuously takes advantage of its synergies to connect international and domestic pharmaceutical companies.
