The ACGA 2018 assessed attending companies based on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) with five areas: Rights of Shareholders, Equitable Treatment of Shareholders, Role of Stakeholders, Disclosure and Transparency, Responsibility of the Board. The ACGS was set up in accordance with international standards, therefore, its appraisement process is completely fair and objectivie. Under this tight process, HSC got high scores in all five areas, reaching as far as the developing countries in Southeast Asia. This resulted HSC becoming one of the three public listed companies, and also the only securities company in Vietnam to receive this honor.

With the commitment to maximize benefits for investors and shareholders, HSC has been actively improving its corporate governance capabilities and pioneering to well apply it in line with international practices. As one of the leading securities companies in Vietnam, HSC always takes the initiative in adhering corporate governance standards and constantly being innovative in management and governance to increase productivity, which creates yearly growth rate. This award are expected to bring HSC closer to international market and take out investor’s faith.

The ACGA was initiated by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) since 2017. This year, it was paid attention and reveived attendance of over 800 guests including famous securities companies in  Southeast Asia, scaled listed companies in Malaysia and leading experts and investors.

This award is also a positive leap from the ‘Top 5 Best Corporate Governance Companies’ of HSC at the Vietnam Listed Companies Awards (VLCA 2018) in early November by HOSE and HNX with strict review of four leading auditing companies (Big 4) include Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PwC. With the efforts in corporate governance and business management, HSC hopes to continue fulfilling its mission of maximizing value for shareholders and customers as well as building a strong stock market in Vietnam.
