Notice: Launching odd - lot securities trading (HOSE)

Dear Valued Customers,

According to the approval of the Ministry of Finance, the State Securities Commission of Vietnam and the Vietnam Stock Exchange, Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) has officially announced the implementation of odd-lot trading, effective from September 12, 2022.

Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (HSC) would like to inform our customers about the general regulations as follow:

I. General regulations

Applicable securities

Stocks, closed-end fund certificates, ETFs and covered warrants.

Trading units

From 01 to 99 shares

Trading method

Continuous Order matching and Put-through Order Matching

Trading hours

  • Continuous Order Matching: 09:15 - 11:30 and 13:00 - 14:30
  • Put-through Order Matching: 09:15 - 11:30 and 13:00 - 15:00

Trading order types

Limit order (LO)

Quotation unit
Tick size
Price range
Payment regulations
Order modification and cancellation

Apply similar regulations as even-lot securities trading

Other notes

1. Odd-lot transactions are not allowed on first trading day of new listed stocks, closed-end fund certificates, ETFs, and covered warrants or stocks which are re-traded after more than 25 days of suspension until the closing price is determined.

2. Odd-lot securities orders can only be matched with each other and not with even-lot securities orders.
