Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (HSC) (HOSE: HCM) has just been honored in the List of “50 best listed companies in 2023" announced by Forbes Vietnam.

On the afternoon of August 17, 2023, Forbes Vietnam held the 2023 Business Forum with the theme of Innovation in Growth Model and the Ceremony of Awarding to companies in the List of “50 Best Listed Companies in 2023”. 

This is the 9th time HSC to be honored inthis prestigious award. Forbes Vietnam rankings are based on the consolidated audited financial statements of the companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock exchange (HSX) and Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX). According to Forbes’s statistics, the total profit after tax of 50 companies in the list 2023 reached VND 228,096 billion, total revenue reached VND 1,490,453 billion, up 18% and 24.9% respectively compared to the list of the precious year.

Forbes Vietnam applies company ranking methods of Forbes (US), taking into consideration the characteristics of listed companies in Vietnam. In the preliminary round, companies need to meet the requirements to be profitable in 2022, with a minimum revenue and capitalization of VND 500 billion. In the next round, companies are quantitatively scored on five criteria such as the compound growth rate of revenue, profit, ROE, ROC and EPS growth for the period 2018-2022. Next, Forbes Vietnam carried out a qualitative survey to assess the sustainable development of the business, including: the company's position in the industry, the source of profits, the quality of corporate governance, the industry outlook...

The companies on the list are classified by industry, most of which are industry leading companies or have created competitive advantages. In 2022, the securities market entered a gloomy period, however, this was a relatively successful year when HSC's brokerage market share regained the 4th position in the whole market with the market share of 6.32%.

Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2023, HSC recorded more than VND 1,018 billion in revenue, accumulated pre-tax profit of nearly VND 351 billion. Our operational success was built upon three pillars: restructuring our operation model, digitalizing our processes and services and diversifying our services. With a strong business model, sound strategy, and solid foundation, HSC believes that the company will continue to achieve positive performance over the coming years.
